Statutory consultation underway on boulder clearance and unexploded ordnance identification and clearance

Inch Cape has applied to the Scottish Ministers of the Scottish Government to undertake both boulder clearance and unexploded ordnance identification, and unexploded ordnance clearance, at the project’s offshore wind farm site and export cable corridor.

The scope of work is ongoing with this application to allow continuity of the licenced works beyond the end of August 2025.

Individuals or organisations who would like to have their say on safety of navigation or on environmental issues relating to the application now have 28 days to email their comments to the Scottish Marine Directorate.

Representations sent in should include the applicant name (Inch Cape Offshore Limited) and should quote reference numbers as below:

  • 00011225 – for boulder clearance and unexploded ordnance identification
  • 00011249 – for unexploded ordnance clearance.  

Notices under Part 4 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 were published in the Dundee Courier and East Lothian Courier on Thursday 3 July, 2025.
