Latest grants awarded from Inch Cape Construction Fund

Young people from East Lothian are the main beneficiaries of the latest round of grants from the Inch Cape Construction Fund with almost £8000 provided for initiatives supporting the younger generation.
Four organisations have been awarded financial support for activities including: delivery of a school holiday lunch club programme for children from lower-socio-economic backgrounds; primary school visits to learn about Scottish seabirds; production of a solar stage puppet show for all East Lothian residents, and an employability programme for students with special needs.
To date this year 14 organisations have received funding for their proposed initiatives totalling £26,220, with a total of £45,000 available for 2025.

The Inch Cape Construction Fund was launched in 2024 to support community projects that help tackle the effects of poverty and inequality while improving the environment and supporting sustainability for residents of the Prestonpans or Cockenzie & Port Seton community council areas.
Launched in February 2024, the fund is managed by Foundation Scotland with grants awarded approximately every three months, meaning that applicants can apply at any time. Applications are encouraged from groups and organisations working to benefit residents of the nominated community council areas, and while applicants do not need to be a registered charity they do need to meet standard eligibility criteria.
To find out more about the fund and how to apply, those interested should visit the Inch Cape Construction Fund page of the Foundation Scotland website.
