Graduation day for Inch Cape-partnered Scottish Launch Academy cohort

The ten innovative Scottish companies representing the first cohort of ORE Catapult’s inaugural Launch Academy Scotland have graduated from the seven-month long programme having benefitted from guidance provided by professionals covering such modules as intellectual property, financing and law.

The support provided has been specific and targeted to ensure that all companies that graduate from this first Launch Academy Scotland have been able to improve the skillsets, tools, structures and knowledge likely to be required to succeed in the offshore renewable energy industry.

Inch Cape has been a founding partner in the programme which aims to support Scottish companies with the commercialisation of their offshore wind innovations. The initiative was also supported by Scottish Enterprise, as well as other developers Bluefloat Nadara and Ocean Winds.

Selected from a strong field of more than 40 applicants, the ten innovative companies making up the first cohort were: Subworx; Smarter Subsea (Handling); Revive Geosciences; Kraken Robotics; Innovair; Frontier Robotics; FENNEX; Fathom Group; AJT Engineering, and Airspection.

They will continue to be part of the wider ORE Catapult alumni benefiting from ongoing contacts, networking and support as they aim to progress their various innovations.
