Girl Guides and heritage railway enthusiasts amongst those to benefit from fund grants

Four community groups from Cockenzie, Port Seton and Prestonpans were awarded grants from the latest funding round of the Inch Cape Construction Fund.
The latest round of awards totalling £6,670 will support a diverse range of groups and individuals from Girl Guides and heritage railway enthusiasts to women who have suffered domestic abuse and children who have lost a loved one. The initiatives supported are listed in the table below.
The fund supports organisations and initiatives which benefit those who live or work in the East Lothian community council areas closest to the project’s onshore substation in Cockenzie.
Funds are available on a rolling basis throughout the year so those with potential initiatives or projects can apply via the Inch Cape Construction Fund page on the Foundation Scotland website at anytime.

Applicants do not need to be a registered charity to apply, but the group or organisation must meet standard eligibility criteria.
The usual timescale for award decisions is from six to eight weeks but groups must apply a minimum of 4 weeks before their proposed project start date.
