Local supplier opportunities highlighted at Montrose event

More than 150 local suppliers were at Montrose Town Hall last week for Inch Cape’s Offshore Construction Supplier Event to hear all about potential business opportunities with the project.
Representatives from the project’s key contractors were there to provide insights into their scopes of work on the project, and talk to attendees about the goods and services they could provide to help deliver the work.
There were presentations from Inch Cape and Montrose Port Authority, giving overviews of their progress and upcoming activites, as well as from the main contractors who also had stands for networking over lunch. The contractors present were: Denholm Port Services, Enshore Subsea, N-Sea, OEG, Pert Bruce, and Vestas.
Also there to give an insight into offshore wind innovation was ORE Catapult with two alumni from the recently completed first Launch Academy Scotland – innovair and Kraken Robotics – to demonstrate their innovative concepts for foundation inspection and 3-D seabed mapping.
All presentations can be viewed online here.
Delegates also had the opportunity to take a tour of Montrose Port to see the activity and development areas, including Inch Cape’s own operations & maintenance base site.
Organised and managed by NOF, the event was also supported by local cluster Forth & Tay and by the Invest in Angus team at Angus Council.
