As one of the flagship Scottish offshore wind project’s Inch Cape was a main sponsor of the latest Scottish Renewables’ annual report into the benefits renewable energy projects have on Scottish businesses and the local supply chain.

Launched today, the Scotland’s Renewable Energy Industry Supply Chain Impact Statement 2024 presents a snapshot of businesses working in Scotland’s renewable energy industry, and showcases the breadth and talent of the local supply chain which is evolving to support the expanding sector.

The publication is an annual showcase of the clean power achievements of businesses and organisations, from the borders to the Highlands and Islands, working across Scotland’s flourishing renewable energy industry.

As well as a brief feature on the Inch Cape project and our approach to the supply chain, two of the project’s local suppliers have been profiled:

  • Innovair – providing regular aerial surveys and monitoring of the project’s onshore substation site at Cockenzie
  • JBA Consulting – using strategic software to inform the installation plans for the project

Since it began development Inch Cape has engaged more than 265 UK suppliers (105 from Scotland) and continues to work closely with the Scottish and UK supply chain to maximise local opportunities.
