East coast-based N-ERGISE was contracted by Smulders for the offshore hook-up scope, to facilitate the safe installation and commissioning of the Siemens Energy Offshore Transmission Module (OTM), which was fabricated by Smulders at the firm’s Wallsend yard. The full scope of work encompasses a wide range of multidisciplinary engineering services, including electrical, inspection, mechanical, painting, scaffolding, and rope access.

Outcomes

The work on Inch Cape has facilitated the creation of new positions – both onshore and offshore – with all investments being directed into the UK supply chain. The valuable experience gained on this project will open doors to further opportunities within the offshore wind sector. N-ERGISE’s highly skilled workforce is well positioned at the forefront of future growth in the industry.

Martyn Norton, Managing Director of N-ERGISE said:

This project has provided N-ERGISE with the opportunity to demonstrate our exceptional service delivery while supporting our long-standing client, Smulders. It also highlights our continued involvement in an expanding industry that offers significant opportunities across the entire supply chain.
